Lvivske beer commercial

Commercialhat

Lvivske has been brewed in Lviv since 1715 and now sits within Carlsberg Ukraine, and this television commercial makes that span its whole idea: a present-day Lviv street and its eighteenth-century counterpart share the screen, split down the middle, with deliveries being made on both sides of the line. The work covers CG product visualization, environments, compositing and visual effects.

A split-screen conceit only works if both halves feel photographed on the same afternoon. That means matching lens, light direction and grade across two separate shoots, then holding the seam rock-steady while the camera moves — a tracking and compositing problem before it is anything else. The period half also has to lose the modern city: cables, aerials, signage, road markings and stray passers-by painted out, with set extensions and matte-painted architecture filling whatever the location could not provide. Packaging and props are rebuilt in CG on both sides so the brand reads consistently across three centuries. Cleanup at this level of detail is unglamorous and entirely load-bearing, and it is a staple of Terminal FX’s commercial work.
