Latest VFX Work 2024/25
Terminal FX’s 2024/25 reel: a recent selection of the studio’s visual effects, cutting together FX simulation, CG environments, compositing and integration across a range of shots. Rather than one project, it is a cross-section of what the studio has been asked for lately and how that work was solved.
A current-work reel is first of all an editing problem. Shots arrive from different productions, formats and colour pipelines, and they have to be cut so that a destruction beat, a digital landscape and a quiet invisible fix all sit in the same piece without one flattening the next. What the format really exposes is consistency: whether integration holds up shot to shot, whether the CG is lit from the plate every time and not just in the hero frame, whether roto and cleanup are clean enough that nothing draws attention to the seam. Seen together the disciplines start to overlap, as they do in production — a simulation feeding a composite, an environment built around a plate, integration finishing the frame. It is the clearest single answer to what Terminal FX is currently doing.
