DOG Animation

DOG Animation is a reel of just under two minutes built around a single CG character: a stylised ginger dog, seen in the poster frame in a dimly lit room beside a neon-lit glass case. Terminal FX published it on its Vimeo channel in 2022.

Animal characters sit in a narrow space between cartoon and nature. Proportions can be pushed for appeal, but the audience still knows how a dog shifts its weight, how its ears and jowls follow a head turn and how fur catches light. Getting that right takes a rig built for animal anatomy, groomed fur that stays stable in motion, animation that keeps personality inside plausible physics, and lighting and compositing that let practical-looking light sources spill onto the coat. Creature and character animation are among the studio’s core disciplines.
